Our Partners in the Trades
From design through installation, we love working with architects, interior designers and contractors. A background in project management and extensive experience working with the Trades has taught us the value of a good Statement of Work for making sure that everything goes according to plan for everyone involved.
The Construction & Design Bible
Engineering for cabinetry and appliances are very specific. Plan for the wrong size oven, and the sink winds up off center, and suddenly one of the cabinets doesn’t fit. That’s why we like to collaborate from the beginning of a project, and it’s why we create a detailed job site construction package. A Bible for the work, it provides detailed measurements and instructions for incorporating everything involved in the kitchen and bath process. From the location of light fixtures relative to mirrors, to the position of outlets above or beside backsplashes, we work out every detail with the client ahead of time so that construction can move forward. We also order materials ahead of time so they’re ready for construction.
No Surprises
In the SOW, we identify and document specifications pertaining but not limited to the following:
- Demolition
- Framing
- New windows and doors
- Drywall and texture
- Plumbing and Electrical
- HVAC
- Paint
- Countertops
- Tile and Grout
- Flooring
- Appliances
- Shower Doors
- Mirrors and Medicine Cabinets
By spelling out every detail of design and construction, we enable our SOWs to give contractors the reassurance of documenting exactly what is expected. Beautiful results. No surprises.
